If you are anything like me you like to have tools you use often well within your reach. I decided to buy the Micheals Desktop Carousel ($29.99 on sale) for more organization. The problem was where to put my Inkssentials Blending Tools? Solution: Pedicure Toe Separators!
What?! Pedicure Toe Separators?! Why yes, they work awesome and they are super cheap. They were a $1.29 for a set and I had a coupon for buy one get one free at Sally's Beauty Supply.
I started off with Micheals Desktop Carousel and 5 Toe Separators. *Note there are several different types of Pedicure Toe Separators. Some are rounded or don't have a straight end. You can use these types, but I preferred the look and stability of the squared off ones.
Cut two of the Toe Separators in half. You will need one whole Toe Separator and one half Toe Separator to complete one side.
I didn't really like the blue color so I decided to color mine with some black waterproof ink. I used a cheap paint brush to apply the ink. I didn't use acrylic paint because I figured after some use the paint would rub off. I let it dry before I stamped it with some Staz-On Cotton White ink.
After all the ink is dry hot glue the cut half of the Toe Separator to the uncut Toe Separator. IMPORTANT: make sure you glue the cut side otherwise it will not be as stable.
Hot Glue your foam piece to the top of one of the sides of the Carousel. I used the sides with the drawers. I left the name plates on because I'm lazy but you could easily remove them if you wanted.
After you Hot Glue the foam on it will be strong enough to hold the Blending Tools. This is what it looks like at this point.
I wanted a little be more stability so the foam didn't sag after time. So I cut out nine small foam squares from foam that I salvaged from a tool set.
Hot Glue the little squares to the underside of the Toe Separators. Space them out evenly.
Now you can have your Blending Tools within easy reach!

This is a million dollar idea! I have wanted a carousel for a long time just not willing to fork over the dollars they cost. So, I have kept looking for something I have at home to do the job for me. I need to get some of these. AWESOME IDEA!
Thank You! I'm just happy to have found something cheap to use. They also come in one single separator. I guess for someone with one toe?! lol. Anyways, think of all the possible items you could glue them on.
ok, how did it occur to you to use feet things for your craft stuff?!
