Gonna Be One of Those Days

I bought this stamp "Karin" along with several others a while ago. A company called Stampotique makes them. I've been itching to make something with it. I finally came up with this...

I tore the cardboard from the cover of a cat scratching pad, the plastic is from some old packaging I would have thrown away. I embossed it and when I tried to heat the embossing powder I melted the plastic a little bit. lol. Oh well, a little more heat and some smooshing with the back of a large wooden stamp and it turned out okay. I then used alcohol ink (Cranberry, Magenta, Silver) to spruce up the plastic. Put a torn book page underneath for some interest. Some rhinestone blingage (Recollections) and a little tuft of black tulle, paper flowers, and punched out foliage (Martha Stewart) are in the corner to off set the barbwire.

I made the barbwire with 25g wire. Double strand as the base and shorter piece of the same wire wrapped around to make the barbs. I punched out the martini glass decorated with some patterned paper, Glossy Accents and stickles. Jute ties off the corners and helps hold the cardboard down as well as some staples.

Inside of card
I love this stamp. It's from the same company and I think ties up the sentiment on the front of the card perfectly lol. I stamped it onto a Nesties "Cigar Label". Punched the corners with a Fiskars corner punch Elegance I think. Distressed it with Tim Holtz Tea Dye. Added a paper strip made from the same paper on the front of the card and doodled on faux stitching.
